Adrienne Wise is tickled pink to be playing Truvy in a cast of such powerful and talented actresses! Some of her favorite roles in past Orpheus Theatre shows include Cinderella in Into the Woods, Sister Amnesia in Nunsense, Jellylorum in Cats, Prudy Pingleton in Hairspray, April in Company, The Usherette in The Rocky Horror Show, Sister Berthe in The Sound of Music and Lenah in Lenah. She has also appeared as Ann Putnam in Glimmerglobe Theater Company's production of The Crucible and in Cooperstown's Vagina Monologues for the past two years. Adrienne lives in Hartwick and is a writer and office manager for Orpheus Theatre.
Brooke Tallman-Birkett has appeared on the Orpheus Theatre stage thirteen times, most recently in Orpheus Theatre’s production of The Wizard of Oz as The Wicked Witch/Miss Gulch. Her favorite Orpheus roles include Janet Weiss (The Rocky Horror Show), Louise (Gypsy), Rizzo (Grease!), The Baker’s Wife (Into The Woods), Jeanie (HAIR), Gingy (Shrek), Jennyanydots (Cats), and Jenny (Company). Outside of Orpheus, Brooke has appeared locally in The Laramie Project, and in Cooperstown V-day’s production of The Vagina Monologues for the last six years, making her directorial debut with their 2015 production, as well as producing and directing the 2017 production. She is thrilled to be directing Orpheus Theatre's upcoming production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Kathy Tobiassen has been performing with Orpheus Theatre since 1988; favorite roles include Morgan le Fey in Camelot, Gymnasia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Mrs. Sowerberry in Oliver, Cookie in Rumors, Sally Cato in Mame, Sarah in Company, the Queen in Cinderella, one of the Siamese cats (along with her dear friend, Julia Baxter) in Cats and Grandma Josephine in Willy Wonka. Kathy is a member of the Catskill Choral Society, and has also performed with Valley Light Opera in Amherst, Massachusetts. She has worked behind the scenes, as well, producing, running props, stage managing Crimes of the Heart, assistant stage managing Orpheus Theatre’s production of Into the Woods and serving on the Orpheus Board of Directors.
Courtney Murphy is honored to be performing again with Orpheus Theatre, having previously appeared in the ensembles of The Wizard of Oz and Grease! as well as stage manager for Next to Normal. She recently appeared in The Cooperstown V-Day 2017 production of The Vagina Monologues. Courtney is an academic advisor at SUNY Oneonta and currently pursuing a master of science in criminal justice.
Diane Stammel is happy to be part of the cast in this, her fifth play with Orpheus Theatre. Her last role was as Jessie in the 2013 production, Off the Hook. Diane has been a long-time member of the Catskill Community Players, having roles in 13 musicals and 16 plays. Her last character with CCP was one of her favorites, Wendy, in The Blind Date, part of 2016’s Duets. She has also worked locally with Catskill Theatre Works, The Thornwood Center, and Foothills Performing Arts. In 2016, Diane became part of the dramatic interpretation staff at the Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown. She looks forward to reprising her roles as Mrs. Bouncer in Box and Cox and Carrie Filkins, in the women’s rights vignettes for the 2017 season.
This is the second time Mary-Jo Merk is portraying "Ouiser", one of her top 5 favorite stage characters. Other characters she has portrayed for Orpheus Theatre are Mama Rose and Mazeppa in Gypsy, Miss Hannigan in Annie, Mamita in Gigi, Rosie in Funny Girl and Mrs. Potts in Disney's Beauty and The Beast. M.J. has also been seen in Cabaret, Grease and has directed a number of musicals and straight comedies for Orpheus.

Naomi Wager is thrilled to perform in her third production with Orpheus and she couldn’t be happier working with new and old friends!! In past Orpheus productions, Naomi appeared as Baby June in Gypsy and Matilda/Sophie in Willy Wonka. Naomi has also performed in the Youth Chorus and as a supernumerary with the Glimmerglass Festival in La Boheme, The Odyssey, American Tragedy, Madame Butterfly and little match girl passion. She also performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC in the Youth Chorus with the Washington National Opera in The Little Prince and The Lion Unicorn and Me. Naomi’s first national commercial is airing now – look for her on TV!
Sean Sansevere is a frequent supporter and friend to Orpheus Theatre. He is currently in charge of group sales for The Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown NY, and appreciates all the support that this community gives to Orpheus, as it is an outlet for many performers and theatergoers in the area. Collegiate highlights include Princeton in Avenue Q, horst in Bent, and several one act plays. Orpheus credits include Doody in Grease, Linus in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Lefou in Beauty and the Beast, and a full childhood of workshops and camps.

Casey Thomas's participation in Orpheus Theatre productions spans over twenty years. Recent credits include Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine in Next to Normal, Mr. Bucket in Willy Wonka, Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods, Berger in Hair, Lord Farquaad in Shrek: The Musical, Skimbleshanks in Cats, Brad in The Rocky Horror Show, and Warner in Legally Blonde. He has performed for several other theater companies and was also a member of The Colgate Thirteen, one of the oldest and renowned collegiate a cappella groups in the country.
Tom Pondolfino is a Retired Navy Gunners Mate who is proud to be appearing in his nineteenth Orpheus production since his return to his home town of Oneonta. Previous Orpheus credits include: Shrek: The Musical (Shrek), Next To Normal (Dan), Legally Blonde The Musical (Professor Callahan), Hairspray! (Wilber), Cinderella (The King).
